Today I went up to Unley Salvos and back again this afternoon. Instead of going all the way down to Mitchell street on Goodwood Road I went via Angus Street and once I got to the end I went across to Mitchell street then. (Corner of Mitchell and Goodwood is a little hairy, coming out of Mitchell street onto Goodwood Road) I came home the same way but picked up a bit of someone's hedge down Angus Street on the southern side of the road.
I could see the hedge had encroached onto the footpath a bit and it didn't look too heavy so I decided to try and force my way past it trying to stay on the footpath.
Bad mistake. I didn't see a large branch in the middle. It nearly took me out - luckily just stopped me. My left mirror had been completely turned around and when I got home I found a small piece of the hedge and even wood from it in part of my scooter. Teach me to try and force things. Thank God nothing was broken and I got home safely again.
