Found out what my scooter part was. Yes it did come off my scooter. As I said in a previous blog post it was the lever that is supposed to help in moving the tiller. Must have worked it's way out and fell on the floor of my scooter. Stayed there until I saw it come off along the footpath on Unley Road. I have reconnected it too.
Have had a couple things happen since my last post.
I haven't ridden it for a couple weeks.
Was hoping to get away without getting taxis. Unfortunately I haven't been able to all the time.
I have had to put the scooter in for a service already - hopefully getting it back today.
I got it back this afternoon and took it up to King William Road, Hyde Park today, for my podiatry appointment. I went on my usual route until part way down the laneway I saw a lot of dust flying around and decided to take a roadway out of it instead of going through the dust. Didn't take me much longer to get there; in fact only took me about 20 minutes from my place - I allowed 30 so got there in plenty of time. I went to IGA on the way home.
Vibration on my scooter is much less now but the engine seems to be making more noise. Oh well, apparently it was looked over and ridden around in their carpark. They said it was ok. I have to trust that the distributors (who are also the maintainers) did their job well and gave it back to me in good condition. I don't want to have to call on them for a while so will be a bit more careful in future.
